In The News: Wacom Introduces Flexible Signature Pad
NEWSWIRE: September 13, 2016
DATELINE: Portland, OR
Wacom Co., Ltd. announced the STU-540, its most robust and advanced signature pad.
The STU-540 expands support for signature capture in many different environments. It utilizes standard USB in desktop environments. There are several options for virtualized desktop configurations which gives users a wide range of choices to best fit their requirements. It can be set to emulate a serial connection over USB, or with a separate accessory kit, add a physical serial connector instead of USB.
It also continues Wacom’s tradition of providing strong encryption to protect signature data transmitted between the signature pad and terminal or workstation. It has secure and proven AES256 / RSA2048 encryption.
The STU-540 also features a 5-inch High resolution color LCD display with anti-glare surface that provides an enhanced viewing experience. It incorporates Wacom’s digital inking technology – WILL (Wacom Ink Layer Language) – that produces an on-screen signature that looks crisp, clean and visually replicates pen on paper signatures.
