In the News: Riverside University Health System launches electronic health record system

Riverside University Health System launches electronic health record to try to enhance patient care and improve communication among health providers.  

Dr. Aleca Clark is leading the launch team at RUHS, says “with an electronic health record, patients receive care that is safer, better coordinated, and more efficient.”  “Primary care providers, specialists, nurses, and staff can all view a patient’s electronic chart simultaneously and in real time.”   A web-based Patient Portal will allow patients to view laboratory results and request prescription refills.  The electronic record system will come online at the Moreno Valley Medical Center and other RUHS sites over the next few months.
